When you want to ski Switzerland, there are many resorts to choose from. For example, Zermatt is one of the most famous villages in Switzerland. The Matterhorn was one of the final alpine mountains to be dominated. Zermatt is a starting point for hikes into the mountains. One of these hiking trails is known as the Haute Route that leads to Chamonix, France. The highest trail can direct you to the Klein Matterhorn. Because of the locals that ski Zermatt, air pollution is one of their major issues. They try to keep air pollution very minimal to maintain the incredible view of the Matterhorn.
Several tourists that want to ski Switzerland commonly take the train from a nearby town. One may also reach Zermatt by a helicopter. Zermatt is well-known throughout the world for its skiing activities. Its high altitude makes it ideal for skiing because of the constant snow covered mountains. The four areas that Zermatt is divided into are Sunnegga, Gornergrat, Klein Matterhorn and Schwarzsee.
